Current Certifications
Deemed “Carrier-Class” since October 2003, Comtech is ISO 9001:2008, ISO 27001:2005 TL 9000-certified, and ISO 9001:2015.
Respected in countries worldwide, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001: 2008 provides the latest requirements for a quality management system (QMS) for products and processes.
Comtech is certified ISO 9001:2008 for both its commercial/operator (carrier) and government operations. This means that Comtech has established a systematic approach to quality management and that the company manages its business to ensure customer needs are clearly understood, agreed upon, and fulfilled. To ensure conformity to these requirements, Comtech has an ongoing internal audit program.
TL 9000 specifically addresses QMS for the telecommunications industry and is a metrics-driven enhancement of ISO 9001. TL 9000 certification emphasizes a company’s commitment to customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and performance accountability.
Comtech offers the only TL 9000-certified network operations center (NOC) for wireless and VoIP E9-1-1 services in the United States. Originally certified in 2003, the NOC celebrated its 14th consecutive year of TL 9000 certification.
QuEST Forum-approved auditors conduct annual surveillance audits at major Comtech sites, reviewing elements of ISO 9001 and TL 9000, as appropriate.
